I am very glad to share my feelings about working at Sinoma  Xi’an. I have been working here for the past two years as a translator. My experience here has brought me many gains and much personal growth. Before coming to the site the Chinese and Nigerians had a communication gap between them because of lack of understanding of the same language but since I became a part of the company, I have been able to bridge all the communication gaps between the Chinese nationals and Nigerians.

When I first arrived, my Chinese speaking was not very good, and communication was a little difficult. But with the help of my Chinese leaders and colleagues, I practiced every day. They corrected me patiently, and step by step my oral Chinese improved quickly. Now I can express myself with much more confidence, and I am truly thankful for their help and encouragement.

Here I also made many Chinese friends. They not only helped me with the language but also introduced me to Chinese life and culture, teaching me local customs. Because of them, I have experienced the warmth and friendliness of the Chinese people.

By working with Sinoma Xi’an, I learned mining work processes. I did not have this knowledge before, but through working with the team I gained experience related to blasting operations and the safe handling practices around explosives. All of this learning happened under strict safety training and close supervision by experienced staff. For me, this knowledge and experience are very valuable and something I will carry with me for life.

Working at Sinoma International Xi’an makes me feel fortunate. The company cares for everyone, whether Chinese or Nigerian staff. The Chinese leaders and colleagues are very considerate, treating us like brothers and never making us feel like outsiders. I also saw how the company supports local small vendors by buying goods from them, helping them earn income and maintain their lives. This touched me deeply.

Another thing I admire is that the company understands people are not machines that can work endlessly. After a period of work, the company gives us leave to rest, and they also show care for our well-being in daily life. This thoughtful approach makes the working environment warm and full of humanity.

In my daily life, I also learned about many Chinese vegetables and foods, such as Chinese cabbage, water spinach, cilantro, fennel, sunflower greens, scallions, chives, garlic, and many more. At first, they were all new to me, but now I have grown to like them, and sometimes I even compare them with Nigerian food. This makes the blending of Chinese and Nigerian cultures natural and easy, and life becomes smoother and more enjoyable.

Outside of work, I also joined Chinese festivals. I celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with colleagues and ate mooncakes. During the Spring Festival, I saw red decorations everywhere and felt the festive joy. These experiences made me feel at home here, even though I was far away from Nigeria.

In conclusion, my work at Sinoma Xi’an has taught me so much: language, skills, daily habits, friendship, and care. These are experiences I will always remember. I feel proud and thankful to be a part of the Sinoma  Xi’an family.

我很高兴能分享我在中材西安工作的感受。我在这里当翻译已经有两年了。这段经历让我收获很多，也让我成长了很多。以前在工地上，中国人和尼日利亚人之间因为语言不通，沟通有困难。但自从我加入公司以后，我帮助解决了中方和尼方之间的沟通问题。

刚到公司的时候，我的中文口语不太好，交流也有些困难。但在中国领导和同事的帮助下，我每天练习。他们很耐心地帮我纠正。慢慢地，我的口语进步很快。现在我能更有信心地表达自己，我非常感谢他们的帮助和鼓励。

在这里，我也交了很多中国朋友。他们不仅在语言上帮助我，还让我认识了中国的生活和文化，教我当地的习俗。因为他们，我感受到了中国人的热情和友好。

在中材西安工作期间，我还学到了矿山工作的流程。以前我没有这方面的知识，但通过和团队一起工作，我学会了放炮、装药等工作，并学习了有关炸药的安全操作。这些都是在严格的安全培训和有经验的师傅指导下完成的。对我来说，这些知识和经验非常宝贵，是我一生都会用到的。

在中材西安工作让我感到很幸运。公司关心每个人，不论是中国员工还是尼日利亚员工。中国领导和同事们对我们很体贴，把我们当兄弟，从来没有让我们觉得是外人。我也看到公司会去照顾本地的小商贩，从他们那里买东西，帮助他们维持生活。这让我很感动。

我还很佩服公司的一点，就是他们明白人不是机器，不能不停地工作。工作一段时间后，公司会给我们放假休息，也会在生活中关心我们的健康。这种体贴让我觉得工作环境很温暖，很有人情味。

在生活中，我也认识了很多中国的蔬菜，比如大白菜、空心菜、香菜、茴香、葵花苗、葱、韭菜、大蒜等等。一开始这些对我都很陌生，但现在我慢慢喜欢上了。有时候我还会把它们和尼日利亚的食物作比较。这让中尼两国的文化融合变得很自然，生活也更加顺利和快乐。

工作之外，我还参加了中国的节日。我和同事一起过中秋节，吃月饼。春节的时候，我看到到处都是红色的装饰，感受到了节日的喜庆。这些经历让我在这里也有了家的感觉，虽然我工作的地方离我的家很远。

总的来说，我在中材西安的工作让我学到了很多：语言、技能、生活习惯、友情和关心。这些都是我永远不会忘记的经历。我感到很自豪，也很感谢能成为中材西安大家庭的一员。
